HOTEL REVIEW | WHERE TO STAY IN GLASGOW: CITIZEN M HOTEL

On a recent trip to Glasgow for the Transform Non-Surgical Event (post to follow) we spent the night at one of six Citizen M hotels. Known for quirky decor and interior, Citizen M was not one to disappoint... But then anywhere with a giant portrait of Kate Moss in the entrance gets two thumbs up from me!

The iPad next to the bed controlled the TV which would put Netflix to shame! There was such a range of films and TV series to watch, I was spoilt for choice.

A great selection of hot and cold food with freshly poured coffee was on offer for breakfast.

The room was small and cosy but had everything you could possibly need. The rain shower was immense after a long day travelling and hosting the event.

The interior was so eclectic, everywhere you turned was an Instagram worthy snap!

Situated on Renfrew Street, the hotel was super close to everything from the high street, bars to the train station. Greeted on arrival by the friendliest hotel staff I've ever come across, I felt right at home from the minute I stepped through the door. Now this hotel is no ordinary hotel, even down to the 1 minute automatic self-service check-in which I've never seen before. Housing 198 rooms with XL king-sized beds tucked away in the corner, a wall-to-wall window allowed you to take in the views from any floor.

There were also numerous conference rooms located across the lobby and first floor, which were separated with a 'key access only' area. You could study/hold meetings in peace without the hotel guests disturbing you. There's also a taxi service that sits right outside the door in case you didn't get the glorious Glaswegian sun like we did (somehow).

All in all I'd 100% recommend the Glasgow Citizen M hotel, not only was it a great price the service was exceptional. From the smiling receptionist to the breakfast staff who made the extra effort to make you feel comfortable, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay... So much so I'm already looking into the Paris hotel for my birthday later this year.
