So before our event with Swimwear365 and The SBCollective (post to follow) we'd been researching yummy but healthy food we could provide for the bloggers who attended. Coming across the The Natural Kitchen through my work buddy, I knew I had to try some more of the menu. So as I prepared myself to eat out alone (something that us Northern girls don't do often) I headed down to The Natural Kitchen to see what all the fuss was about.
On approaching the restaurant on a quiet Spring evening, there was something that stood out about this place. Situated half way down Baker Street, the sat back building with outdoor seating looked like something from a New York film set - that's if you forget to look at all the Starbucks and Sainsbury's cluttering around.
Sitting in the window I checked the menu bursting with tasty 'clean' food that left my mouth watering, I decided to go for the Crunchy Halloumi and Quinoa Salad with a side of Sweet Potato Fries. I sometimes find quinoa can be extremely bland, even when you make it yourself you've got to add the right amount of herbs and dressing for it to taste right, but the guys down at The Natural Kitchen have got this down to perfection. With added cannellili beans, shredded red cabbage and pomegranates finished with a lemon and olive oil balsamic glaze - this salad was be far one the tastiest super food salads I've tried - the extra Crispy Palma Ham was definitely an added taste bonus too! Washed down with an Elderflower and Lime Iced Tea, I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner watching the hussle of bussle of a Baker Street on a busy Thursday evening.
