The one thing I love about going on holiday is exploring new places, although I have been known to visit the same destination a few times, I like to go try new things to really take on the whole experience. On a recent trip to Lesvos, you can read my travel review of Petra here, we ventured out into the nearby village of Molyvos to dine on the harbour front, swim in lush infinity pools and to take in the incredible views!
On the north side of the island sits the quaint little town of Molyvos. Known for it's exception views and hiking spots you know you're in for a relaxing and unwinding break from normality. Dining on the harbour at one of the many restaurants such as The Captain's Table, we feasted on fresh fish and Ouzo whilst taking in the beautiful views. With after dinner drinks at Congo's Beach Bar, Molyvos ticked all the boxes for that mid-week exploring.
The one thing I learnt about Lesvos is that tourists go there year-on-year. We met a couple who had visited the same island thirteen times, and I was told "we're babies compared to other people." Great cuisine, break-taking views and super friendly locals, what's not to love! I can seriously see why people visit the island so much!
