After heading down to our London office for a new client meeting, the Label PR team and I stopped off at The Blues Kitchen on Curtain Road in Shoreditch for lunch... Boy was we pleased!
With the menu bursting with mouth watering cheats treats,
I opted for the bean burger with chilli fries and homemade coleslaw – I definitely wasn't let down! Even down to the toasted bun this burger was by far one of the
nicest I’ve ever tried. The salad garnish was crisp but not overwhelming
allowing the handmade three-bean burger with creole seasoning to do all the
talking! Accompanying the burger was a side of red cabbage coleslaw, two gherkins and chilli seasoned fries, the perfect
addition to this veggie delight.
On entering the venue you feel like you’ve been thrown back
in time to the 50s, the décor captivated everything about the Blues era. With
worn ceiling tiles and exposed floorboards, the mustard, olive and brown etched
tiles jumped straight out at you. Forget chandeliers, the feature focus was a
gold gramophone lampshade hanging at the front entrance. Down either side of the bar sat quirky booths in green worn
leather, leading to the back where you could sit inside a metal caravan and enjoy
a cosy meal away from the hustle and bustle of the restaurant and bar area –
which sells over 100 types of bourbon.
By far not one to be missed, The Blues Kitchen, Shoreditch
is definitely on my must-see places of 2015!
Ahhh I love it in there, the food is sooooo good! xx
