HOW TO DO PARTY WEAR FOR THE NOT SO PARTY GIRL

At last – party season is upon us and I couldn’t be more excited! Mulled wine, late nights and back-to-back weekends filled with festive get-togethers. Whether you’re going on your work’s Christmas party, or you’re heading down to the local pub for a catch up with your old school friends, there’s no escaping the festive cheer. But the only dread I seem to have is, what kind of party wear should I buy!

I always think I’m easy enough to shop for. If it’s black, it’s mine. If it’s oversized, it’s mine – but how can you correlate that into a season filled with glitter and sequins? There’s only so many black lace dresses a girl can own, and trust me I’ve got them all. So this season I’ve decided to put together a series of looks for ‘What To Wear in The Party Season, For The Non Party Girl’ utilising those must-have festive pieces in a really wearable way.

First up I thought I’d try out this (beetle juice-esque) Stripe Co-Ord Blazer  with matching Stripe Trousers Suit from H&M. Now I’ll be wearing this throughout Autumn/Winter and most definitely as separates to but this time I wanted to put together a more festive outfit. Wearing this beaut Rose Gold Open Black Top from Warehouse and oversized shopper from Saint Laurent, I was ready to hit the Christmas party scene without the need of my pals wearing reflective sunglasses from all the sequin sparkle!
